Arrests allegedly involved separate incidents on two different days
On Thursday, May 8, officers from the West Whiteland Township Police Department were dispatched to the Walmart store for a reported theft, police said.Upon arrival, officers were advised that Nichole Green, 29, of Coatesville, had stolen $14 worth of merchandise from the store, police said, adding that she was charged with summary retail theft.
A reported theft at the Walmart store in Exton led officers from the West Whiteland Township Police Department there again on Friday, May 9, police said. After investigation, Mosha Reeves, 26, of Coatesville, was charged with summary retail theft for allegedly stealing $17 worth of merchandise, police said. In a separate case on the same day, Margaret Swadis, 44, of Downingtown, was charged with misdemeanor counts of retail theft, receiving stolen property and corruption of minors, police said. Swadis is accused of stealing $33 worth of merchandise from the store and involving her minor child in the theft, police said.
On Saturday, May 10, at approximately 12:15 a.m., officers from the West Whiteland Township Police Department were dispatched to a motorcycle crash on Pottstown Pike in the area of the U.S.30 Bypass, police said.Officers made contact with the operator, Sean Gwinner, 30, of West Chester, concluding that he had been driving under the influence, police said. He was charged with DUI and traffic offenses, police said.
On Thursday, May 8, at approximately 1:40 a.m., an officer from the West Whiteland Township Police Department located a subject lying on a sidewalk in the Main Street at Exton shopping center, police said. The man, Steven Young, 38, of Coatesville, was subsequently issued a summary citation for public drunkenness, police said.
