Groundhog, forecasters agree: six more weeks of winter

PUNXSUTAWNEY – The big rodent and the science guys are on the same page, and it isn’t good news if you hate cold, wet winter weather in Chester County. As is a Pennsylvania tradition, Punxsutawney Phil — the groundhog — peeked out of his warren and saw his shadow, and apparently immediately returned to his burrow to binge-watch Netflix.

Armed robbery reported at Caln Dollar General

CALN — Township police report a man robbed the Dollar General store in the Shoppes at Barley Sheaf Tuesday evening. According to police, the man, described as white or Hispanic, 5-foot-6, 150 pounds, with a thin mustache, allegedly approached the cashier and pulled up his shirt to display a revolver and demanded money.
