Kennett Collaborative announced the 5th Annual Kennett Summerfest on Sunday, June 14 from 2:00 pm–6:00 pm on South Broad Street (between State & Cypress Streets) in the heart of downtown Kennett Square. Admission includes unlimited tastings from a lineup of carefully curated wineries plus artisan vendors, live music, hands on art projects, and more.

Local & Regional Wineries: Kennett Summerfest will feature an impressive lineup of wineries, cideries, and meaderies, each pouring their finest selections to sip and savor. Participating wineries include Acadian Wine Company, Casa Carmen Wines, Chadds Ford Winery, Dressler Estate, Harvest Ridge Winery, Honey Lane Winery, Elder’s Cut Meadery, Oak Tree Orchard, Penns Woods Winery, Revolution Bees, Red Brick Winery, Turks Heads Wines, Vineyard Hill Cellars, Wayvine Wine & Vineyard and ready-to-drink vodka beverages from Not Pizza.

The VIP Reception from 12:30–1:30 pm will feature catering by Chefs Zack and Karessa Hathaway of Sweet Amelia’s and exclusive wine pairings in an air-conditioned space. It also includes early access to the festival at 1:30 pm. Limited VIP tickets are still available, and expected to sell out soon.

Non-Alcoholic Experience: The Summerfest planning committee is putting a focus on elevating the non-alcoholic experience. Jacqueline Burnham recently launched her online fully non-alcoholic marketplace called Nectar & Co. Jacqueline shared, “I’m grateful to be part of the Summerfest Committee as a sober voice helping to create an elevated, inclusive beverage experience. I founded Nectar & Co., my online non-alcoholic marketplace, because whether you’re pacing or replacing, I believe everyone deserves a great drink in hand. With our launch set for early June, I’m excited that Summerfest will be our first in-person pop-up, where I’ll be one of the NA vendors on-site, sharing a curated lineup of dealcoholized wines & zero-proof cocktails. If you’re an NA drinker, you can look forward to appearances from Curious Elixirs, Free Spirits & more!”

Immersive Art Experiences include a glitter bar from Calabrese Arts; owner Guenevere Calabrese commented, “Calabrese Arts is thrilled to bring a little sparkle and soul to this year’s event with our interactive glitter bar and crafting station—inviting guests to step into the creative process, not just observe it. For those who want to go a step further, we’re also offering elevated craft experiences for a small fee, giving everyone a chance to leave with something beautifully handmade and uniquely theirs.”

Other interactive art experiences include an 8’ x 8’ mural led by local mural artist, Val Steur who plans to use VR goggles to map out a paint by numbers mural that festival attendees will be able to walk up and contribute to throughout the festival. Peter Lumber has generously donated the materials for the mural.

In addition to the great food and drinks, there will over 20  artisan vendors, including jewelry, ceramics demo, flower crowns, and more.

Hands-On Workshops: With the purchase of a regular admission ticket, attendees can add an interactive, limited space workshop. Each of the sessions are 45 minutes and include expert instruction and curated materials for $35. Options include a Chocolate Workshop, or a Cheese Workshop.
