DOWNINGTOWN — Behind the strong rushing of Kevin Stine and Nick Pasvanis, Bishop Shanahan easily handled Olney, 44-0, in a high school football match up Saturday.
Stine led the Eagles (3-0) with 110 yards on the ground and Pasvanis had a pair of scoring runs, as the rain — downpours at times — forced an emphasis on the running game.
The game started strong for Shanahan and just kept building: the Trojans (2-1) fumbled on their first snap, setting the Eagles up with the ball on the Olney 22. Four plays later, Pasvanis scored, and Shanahan took control of the game, control it would not relinquish.
The Eagles open their Ches-Mont National season next week against West Chester East.
