PennDOT schedules roadwork for week

IMG_0948The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced the following roadwork in the Coatesville and Downingtown areas this week – weather permitting – so that motorists can anticipate potential travel delays.

Core-boring to obtain soil samples on Dorlans Mill Road near Brandywine Creek in Upper Uwchlan and East Brandywine Townships in scheduled for Monday, March 31, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Core-boring work will require a detour on Monday, March 31, on Water Works Road in West Caln Township from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The detour will be posted between Red Mill and Reservoir Roads.

The U.S. 30 Bypass in both directions is scheduled for tree removal in Sadsbury and Caln Townships between Airport Road and U.S. 322. Drivers should expect lane closures from Monday, March 31, through Friday, April 4 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Patching is back on the schedule for Little Conestoga Road in Uwchlan Township. Lane restrictions will be in effect from Styer Road to Rt. 100 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday, March 31, through Friday, April 4.

Bridge replacement will continue on U.S. 322 in East Caln and West Bradford Townships. Lane restrictions will be in effect between Old Trolley and Romig Roads from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Aug. 14.

Utility installation will require lane restrictions in Caln Township on West Kings Highway between Elwood Lane and Moore Road. The work will be done from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, April 2, and Thursday, April 3.

Whitford Road in West Whiteland Township will be closed and detoured between Clover Mill and Burke Roads Mondays through Saturdays through June 7, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. A detour will be posted.
