Motorists may be delayed by slow-moving equipment, PennDOT says
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced the following roadwork in the Coatesville and Downingtown areas this week – weather permitting – so that motorists can anticipate potential travel delays.
The Rt. 100 Spur in both directions West Goshen and West Whiteland Townships will be the site of slow-moving vehicles for spray patching between U.S. 30 and U.S. 202 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. from Monday, May 19, through Friday, May 23.
Slow-moving line-painting trucks are scheduled to work on state highways in Downingtown, Coatesville, West Chester, and East and West Whiteland Townships. The work will be done from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. from Monday, May 19, through Friday, May 23. Motorists are urged to maintain distance behind the trucks and stay off the lines.
Utility installation will require lane closures in West Whiteland Township starting on Monday, May 19. Work will be done on Ship Road between Hunter Lane and Hillcrest Road from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through June 16, and on Boot Road between Morstein Road and Hamlet Hill Drive through June 2.
U.S. 30 West in West Sadsbury, Valley and West Caln Townships will continue to require intermittent lane closures between Rt. 10 and Caln Rd. for bridge cleaning from Monday, May 19, through Friday, May 23. The work will be done from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Bridge replacement will continue on U.S. 322 in East Caln and West Bradford Townships. Lane restrictions will be in effect between Old Trolley and Romig Roads from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Aug. 14.
Whitford Road in West Whiteland Township will be closed and detoured between Clover Mill and Burke Roads Mondays through Saturdays through June 7, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., for overhead bridge repair. A detour will be posted.
