DOWNINGTOWN — The first Decked Out Downingtown contest held by Downingtown Main Street Association was won by Dane Décor and J & L Creative Nails.
Borough businesses submitted photographs to the DMSA and voting took place on Facebook from December 10 until December 16 for the popular vote winner, J & L Nails. The DMSA board also gave out a choice winner and selected Dane Décor.
J&L Creative Nails gathered 619 votes and was decked out for the holidays with beautiful green swags adorning the front of the store and meticulously arranged window displays with winter scenes. Second Place went to Flowers by Jena Paige with 461 votes. The display was elegant and classy with a fresh floral twist. Third was Bakers of Buffington with 137 votes. A Santa’s cake shop theme with elves baking in a winter wonderland kitchen.
DMSA board choice was Dane Decor, with an impressive upside down (live!) Christmas tree.
“We are thrilled with the response from local businesses for our first holiday decor contest,” said Becca Settle, Chairwoman of DMSA. “A big thanks to everyone who participated, helping to make our business district festive for the holidays”
