calnpdCALN — Police say a township couple was robbed at gunpoint at their Skyview Lane home late Thursday.

According to police, the couple had just returned to their home when a subject wearing a ski mask and brandishing a handgun quickly approached the victim and demanded money, the man’s wallet and phone. He complied and was ordered to the ground. The suspect pointed the gun at him and subsequently kicked him several times. He was treated at an area hospital and released.

Police said that the suspect is described as a black male, about 6’2-6’3 with a thin build. The suspect was wearing a black ski mask which covered his head and the area of his face above his top lip. The suspect’s mouth, chin and cheeks were exposed (no facial hair).  The suspect reportedly fled in a dark colored Nissan Maxima bearing a Delaware registration plate. A similar vehicle matching this description was located by a neighboring police department shortly after the robbery and is being investigated in conjunction with this incident.

The Caln Township Police Department urges residents to be aware of their surroundings, especially when arriving or departing their residences during late or dark hours. Additionally, any unusual or suspicious observations should be reported immediately by calling 911.

Anyone that may have witnessed or observed suspicious or unusual activity in this area on the night in question is asked to contact Investigator James Lippolis at 610-383-1821.
