Downingtown Police say he became irate after driver pulled into spot he shoveled

Image 2On Friday, Feb. 21, Donald G. Hartshaw, Jr, 44, of Downingtown and East Fallowfield, was cited for disorderly conduct following an incident in the 300 block of Highland Avenue shortly before 11 a.m., Downingtown Police said.  Hartshaw was extremely upset about someone’s parking in an on-street parking space that he had just shoveled out, police said.  When the driver pulled into the spot, Hartshaw screamed at her and then shoveled a large amount of snow against the vehicle, police said.  The driver was so shaken by Harshaw’s actions that she contacted authorities, police said.

Sometime between 5 and 5:40 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22, in the parking lot area of Planet Fitness in the 100 block of East Pennsylvania Avenue,  two vehicles had windows smashed out, Downingtown Police said.  One vehicle’s window replacement was estimated at $300, and the other at $250, police said.  One vehicle claimed nothing was missing from inside;  the other had a Michael Kors purse, which was valued at $600 and contained credit cards, a birth certificate and other items, as well as $300 in cash stolen, police said.
