DOWNINGTOWN — “Take a musical adventure with an out-of-this-world car that flies through the air and sails the seas. Based on the 1968 film version of Ian Fleming’s book, and featuring a score by the Sherman Brothers (Mary Poppins), Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is one family-friendly show that audiences will find “Truly Scrumptious”.”
When eccentric inventor, Caractacus Potts sets about restoring an old race car from a scrap heap with the help of his children Jeremy and Jemima they soon discover the car has magical properties. Trouble ensues when the evil Baron Bomburst desires the magic car for himself.
Performances of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang will take place in the Downingtown High School West Campus auditorium, 445 Manor Ave. Downingtown, PA 19465, March 31, April 1 &2, 2016 at 7:30pm and a matinee performance on Sunday April 3, 2016 at 2:00pm.
