DOWNINGTOWN — Downingtown concludes its Summer Jam series on Friday, August 28 with two stages of musical acts and lots of food.
“The first two Summer Jams have been excellent for Downingtown and we’re looking for an exciting evening to conclude the series,” said Jeff Thomas of Downingtown Main Street Association.
The Summer Jam will take place from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Mill Alley in the center of the borough. The event features local musicians on two stages, food and unique crafts. The Summer Jam series is presented by Downingtown Main Street Association and Kimberton Whole Foods.
The food offerings will be from The Happy Pita food truck, M-n-M Catering, Big Poppy’s Kettle Corn and Kimberton Whole Foods. Crafts will be offered from Honeybunch Studio, Origami Owl Custom Jewelry, Wild Women Wear, She Knows Bows and Jadyn and Jacques Crafts.
“Members of the community, the borough and businesses and organizations are combining to make the Summer Jams possible,” said Becca Settle, a member of Downigntown Main Street Association and marketing and outreach coordinator for Kimberton Whole Foods.
Downingtown Main Street Association was incorporated in 1993 with the purpose of enhancing the borough by bringing citizens, residents, property owners, business owners, and the private sector together to build a bright future.
