PARKESBURG — Rep. Harry Lewis Jr. (R-Chester) invites 74th District residents to attend his job fair on Friday, Aug. 28, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Parkesburg Victory Brewing Co., 3129 Lower Valley Road, in Parkesburg.
“With area company layoffs looming, I encourage residents to take advantage of this opportunity to connect with more than 30 employers who have full-time positions to fill,” Lewis said. “The employers who will be in attendance represent a variety of industries, including healthcare, military, government, criminal justice, banking, manufacturing, insurance and trucking.”
Residents who are working multiple part-time jobs, rather than a single full-time job, can also benefit by attending the job fair, which was designed to maximize employment in the 74th District.
The fair will also offer fingerprinting to meet background check requirements, professional headshots and resume reviews for all job fair attendees at no charge. To use the fingerprinting service, attendees must bring a government-issued ID.
“While my staff was searching for an event location, Parkesburg Victory Brewing Co. graciously offered its space at no charge to 74th District taxpayers,” Lewis shared. “We have a strong commitment to serving residents in a fiscally efficient manner, just as residents do in their own lives each day, but especially when they are seeking employment.”
Residents who wish to attend the job fair are asked to RSVP to Lewis’s Downingtown office at (610) 269-1289 by Thursday, Aug. 20.
