The Downingtown Main Street Association is helping folks to show how much they love Downingtown, just in time for Valentine’s Day.

DOWNINGTOWN – Dane Décor is hosting a We Love Downingtown celebration for the Valentine’s Day holiday.

“We want to inspire a public display of affection for our town,” said Victory Brewing Brewmaster and President Bill Covaleski, concept creator of We Love Downingtown for the Downingtown Main Street Association. “Studio 3 has a tradition of unique window displays in the borough and we are following Studio 3’s lead.”

Sponsored hearts can be obtained for $40. For ordering information see www.downingtownmainstreet.com. For additional information contact Steve Plaugher, executive director of DMSA.The money generated from the sale of hearts will be used to fund Downingtown Main Street Association projects that enrich Downingtown.

The traditional candy heart shaped notes sponsored by a business are scheduled to be displayed from February 9 through February 28.

“Taking part in this promotion is an excellent way for companies to show their civic pride for the borough,” said Adrian Martinez, President of DMSA. “We would like to see all of the windows of Dane Décor facing Lancaster Avenue filled with the sponsored hearts. We also hope to expand this project next year.”
