CALN — Township police are investigating a pair of evening parking lot robberies this past weekend from Lincoln Highway retail locations and are asking the public to share any information it might have about the incidents.
On Saturday night, a little before 10 p.m, an employee was robbed at the Pizza Hut in the 1800 block of Lincoln Highway as she was leaving the business. Police said the suspect approached the employee as she was getting into her vehicle and was able to strong arm a bag out of her hands.
The suspect was described as a black male with a dark complexion, about 6’1, 175lbs. The suspect was dressed in a black hoodie, black pants, black sneakers, and was wearing a black scarf over his face.
The next night, at about 9:30PM, an employee was robbed in the parking lot of Caln Plaza as she was leaving her place of employment at Amelia’s Grocery. The victim had just entered her vehicle when she was sprayed with pepper spray from the side and then directly in the face. While being sprayed, the actor removed valuables from her vehicle that she had just placed in the car.
The victim was unable to provide a description of the actor. She was transported to Brandywine Hospital to be treated for exposure to the caustic spray.
Police are investigating several leads in the cases but are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have possible information to call the Caln Police Department Criminal Investigation Division at 610-383-1821.
