If you love Bingo and designer handbags, and would like to support a great cause, don’t miss Designer Bag Bingo, a fundraiser to benefit Delaware County Community College’s New Choices Career Development Program. The event will be held on Thursday, 3/21 on the Marple Campus (910 S. Media Line Road, Media, Pa.). Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and bingo begins at 6 p.m.
Designer Bag Bingo includes a light dinner, desserts, raffle items (including restaurant gift certificates) and 10 chances to win a designer bag. General admission tickets are $35 in advance, $40 at the door. New Choices graduates and current Delaware County Community College students can purchase tickets for $30 in advance, $35 at the door. The College’s New Choices Program empowers individuals in career transition to achieve increased economic security through career assessment and guidance, personal growth, education and employment. It is a free, statewide career development course with decades of success in empowering Pennsylvanians with the skills, resources and support they need to find meaningful employment.
Through in-person and virtual classes and one-on-one career coaching, the program is designed to give participants individualized attention and training to help each person achieve professionally and personally. New Choices provides individual and group support, career planning workshops, employer contacts, networking opportunities, resume writing, interviewing techniques and basic computer skills.
