WILMINGTON, DEL. — First State Ballet Theatre, Delaware’s professional ballet company, opens its 2014-15 season—with five fully-staged ballets, the busiest in its 15-year history—with a spectacular full-length production of Giselle, one of the world’s best known and loved ballets, on the main stage of Wilmington’s Grand Opera House.
FSBT President Robert Grenfell said, “Giselle delivers a compelling story with a rich musical score and some of the most beautiful choreography ever created. Our Artistic Director Pasha Kambalov has done a masterful job of staging the work and our company is thrilled to bring it to life on our home stage where they will be dressed in dozens of beautiful costumes created for this production by our costumiers in Russia.
“I’m pleased to note that First State Ballet Theatre has not raised our family-friendly ticket prices in ten years and we still offer our unmatched 50-percent discount for students 18 and under.”
FSBT will perform Giselle on the mainstage of Wilmington’s Grand Opera House on Saturday, October 18 at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, October 19 at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are $28.00-$48.00 for adults, students age 18 and under receive a 50-percent discount and senior, group and military tickets are $5.00 off.
