From Dec. 26 to Dec. 31, residents can sample offerings at no charge
The only string attached to this holiday gift is the hope that the YMCA of the Brandywine Valley will be able to attract your patronage, its officials say.
From Dec. 26 to 31, YMCAs in the area will be open to the public for free – just in time to counteract the traditional holiday stress and overeating. Even better: The YMCA offers children’s activities to keep youngsters busy while they are out of school.
Staying active during the holidays can not only alleviate stress but also help to keep waistlines in check, the Y advises, recommending the latest exercise equipment or a family game of basketball or a swim in the pool.
Locations offering free admission from Thursday, Dec. 26, to Tuesday, Dec. 31, include Brandywine YMCA, Coatesville; Jennersville YMCA, West Grove; Kennett Area YMCA, Kennett Square; Octorara YMCA Program Center, Atglen; West Chester Area YMCA, West Chester; Oscar Lasko Youth Program Center, downtown West Chester; Lionville Community YMCA, Exton; and the Y at Eagleview, Exton.
