DOWNINGTOWN — West Chester Henderson used a powerful running game and took advantage of a couple of miscues to down previously undefeated Downingtown West, 28-20, Friday night.
The Whippets (3-1) were able to close within 21-20 in the final quarter — a missed extra point by Ben Carbone the difference, but could not contain Henderson running back Tre Green on the final drive, he rushed for 234 yards in the game, capped the drive and the win with a five yard run.
Jake Barr scored two touchdowns for Downingtown West in the effort.
