downingtown_eastDOWNINGTOWN – Haverford put up 54 first-half points to out run Downingtown East, 54-26, Friday night.

While the Cougars (2-1) couldn’t get their offense moving, the Fords (2-1) hit the turf running, scoring on their first four possessions of the game — racing out to a startlingly quick 27-0 lead before the first quarter was little more than halfway over.

Downingtown East did manage to get its offense moving — but never got closer than 39-12 in the first half, ultimately trailing by halftime, 54-12.

Cary Angeline was a bright spot for the Cougars, with 10 receptions for 121 yards and a pair of scores.
