The Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce is offering up a unique opportunity for inside access to Chester County’s most popular hometown Christmas parade. Organizers of the West Chester Christmas Parade need almost 90 Parade Marshals, and all get the closest front-row seats available as they line the eight-block parade route on Friday, December 2.
“It’s truly an unforgettable experience to volunteer at the West Chester Christmas Parade. Not only do you get the best view of our dazzling floats and performers, but it’s also a fantastic opportunity to get to know your neighbors, bond with your friends and family and build team camaraderie within your business or organization,” said Katie Walker, President of the Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce. “We treat our volunteers right, and that’s why they come back year after year.”
Parade Marshals ensure spectators are safely on sidewalks, move the parade along and assist with some clean-up at the end of the event. Additional volunteers are needed for parade set-up, parade elements staging and parade tear-down. Sign up directly here or athttps://www.greaterwestchester.com/lights-up–christmas-parade.html
Registered volunteers will receive emails in mid- to late November providing instructions on where and when to report on the day of the parade. Following the magnificent tree lighting at 6:30 p.m, the West Chester Christmas Parade starts at 7 p.m. More than 70 elements that include hundreds of performers and dazzling floats will be showcased, including local groups who are nationally acclaimed, all of your hometown favorites including antique cars, a highly curated selection of national groups, and more than a dozen regional high school and marching bands. It all culminates with the much-anticipated arrival of Santa, as 6abc Meteorologist Adam Joseph returns as emcee and is joined by co-host Christy Cosgrove, incoming President of the Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors.
