KENNETT SQUARE – Berger Rental Communities, a full-service real estate company, broke ground on September 27th to commemorate the start of construction of Kennett Square Apartments. Kennett Square Apartments will be Berger’s 12th apartment community within Chester County. Located at 600 W State Street in Kennett Square, PA, the community is within walking distance to the historic downtown, where residents can access various local businesses to shop and dine in Kennett Square.

The apartment community will be comprised of 166 apartments across two, four residential level buildings totaling 160,000 square feet. Featured amenities will include a fitness center, work from home spaces, as well as community, media and DIY rooms. An amenity deck with grilling stations, turf areas, and lounge seating will be available for residents in addition to 192 parking spaces, some with EV charging capabilities, in a basement level garage.

“Breaking ground on Kennett Square Apartments is an extremely exciting opportunity for our company,” said Wayne Everett, Vice President of Acquisitions & Asset Management at Berger Rental Communities. “Over the last decade, we have expanded our footprint across Chester County and are eager to continue providing exceptional amenities, technology, and convenience to this growing, vibrant and historic community through Kennett Square Apartments.”

Berger Rental Communities is working with MV+A, Montrose Environmental, and Harkins to tentatively complete the apartments by spring 2024. Residents will be able to select from 15 floor plans to rent, including studio, one and two bedroom apartments.
