Telemundo62 Sports Anchor Jaime Becerril will make a return appearance at the 6th Annual Coatesville Invitational Vintage Grand Prix as guest emcee on Saturday, September 17 between 10:30 a.m. and noon. Passionate about all Philadelphia sports, Jaime is a longtime avid motorsport fan. He joins hometown professional announcer Bobb Rayner who has been emceeing the event since its inception, bringing years of vintage car and motorcycle knowledge to life with his colorful commentating.

The main event draws thousands of visitors and residents, who will have the rare chance to experience the thrill of watching five heats of vintage automobiles and motorcycles—dating from 1900 to 1977—individually traverse a challenging 2.2-mile course that winds through the historic city streets of Coatesville. It’s the only remaining Grand Prix in North America that is still run on city streets. For a full listing of events, times, course map and more, visit https://coatesvillegrandprix.com/home.

Saturday general admission is FREE with excellent visibility along the entire course. Opening festivities get underway at 8:30 a.m. and the action runs through the afternoon. Starting at 10:00 a.m., spectators will have access to this year’s new “infield” Grand Prix Beer Garden at Third Avenue and Lincoln Highway, sponsored by Jeff D’Ambrosio Auto Group and featuring Deer Creek Malt, Splitting Edge Axe Throwing, food trucks and family games, all just steps away from the start/finish line. Plenty of shopping will be available at the Grand Prix vendor village featuring local and regional vendors and sponsors.

Tickets are now available for the much-anticipated PRIXview Party on Thursday, September 15 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. This lively evening under the stars is a chance to mix and mingle with car and motorcycle enthusiasts, drivers and event sponsors, surrounded by an exclusive display of select vintage vehicles. The week’s premier social event is hosted by CIVGP committee member Crosby Wood and his wife Nancy at their historic Brooklawn home and cohosted by the Western Chester County Chamber of Commerce and CIVGP committee members. Tickets are $65 each and include cocktails, light fare and music. PRIXview tickets are available at https://coatesvillegrandprix.com/prixview-party.

On September 16, the eve of the Grand Prix, the Friday Evening Cruise-in features vintage cars, trucks and special interest vehicles. Open to all car enthusiasts, this special evening allows non-competitors to cruise through the city and preview the course. Bring your pre-1977 hot rods, classic and restored cars! No entry fee or registration is required; however, all vehicles must be licensed. Parking for Cruise-in participants will be available along Lincoln Highway between 1st and 4th Streets where spectators can get an up-close look.

Brandywine Motorsports Club continues to support the event with expertise in overseeing the course design, driver registration, and competition. Driver registration remains open at https://coatesvillegrandprix.com/rules%2Fregistration.

This year’s lead sponsors include Jeff D’Ambrosio Auto Group and The Coatesville Youth Initiative (made possible by Jennifer and Bob McNeil). Additional top sponsors are Brian Hoskins Ford, Howell Engineering and Surveying, Buckley Brion McGuire & Morris LLP, and JGM USA.

A portion of proceeds from sponsorships, PRIXview Party tickets, event parking and souvenir sales benefit the Coatesville Parks and Recreation initiatives.
