LCH Health and Community Services (LCH) will host their fifth annual Amigos LCH event this year on Friday, October 15th from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
This is the second year that the event will remain virtual. “At home continues to be the safest place to gather in a large group,” said Ronan W. Gannon, Chief Executive Officer of LCH. “But as a community, over this past year and a half, we have all learned to adjust, and to find unique, fun ways to be together. It will still be a night to celebrate the incredible strength and resilience of our patients, and the impact that LCH has on southern Chester County, during the COVID-19 pandemic, and beyond.”
LCH has much to celebrate. Over the past year, the Community Health Center expanded and opened a Pediatric Center in West Grove, opened its new, more centralized health center location in downtown Oxford, served more than 8,000 local residents through its three locations, and administered over 10,500 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine to patients and the greater community. “I could not be prouder of the LCH team and the patients that we serve. We continue to be a strong part of the network of care in our community. Our doors have remained open, and we have never stopped connecting our patients to care and resources, despite all of the challenges,” said Gannon.
The event will celebrate the theme of fall harvest, putting a spotlight on the many local farms in the area. Registered guests will receive a box of goodies to help them celebrate fall. During the event, LCH will also provide an update on their services amidst the pandemic, and the fifth annual Alice K. Moorhead Community Impact Award, a recognition of exceptional dedication and support to LCH’s mission, will be presented to Ann and Steven Hutton. Sarel Fonseca will be awarded the second annual LCH Volunteer of the Year Award. To keep everyone connected to the event, LCH is asking attendees to use the social media hashtag #AmigosofLCH when posting event photos and attendee selfies.
Tickets, which are $50 per person to support LCH’s mission, are available by visiting: LCHcommunityhealth.org/event/amigos/. Register by October 1st to guarantee your event goodie box. All proceeds will go towards LCH’s direct services, with a focus on mental health care. “The pandemic has taken a toll on all corners our community’s mental health and wellness,” said Gannon. “We know the path forward to healthy lives is taking care of the whole patient. By working towards expanding our behavioral and mental health services in our health centers, we can address and help meet the need for the many different levels of mental health care in southern Chester County.”
