Hosted by ChesPenn Health Services (which includes Community Dental Ctr.), Child Guidance Resource Centers and Human Services, Inc., The Healthy Families Block Party is a free community event that offers free, healthy and fun activities for families including dozens of children’s games, face painting, health screenings and demonstrations, health and social service information, refreshments, music, raffles and “Dancin in the Streets.”  The venue will be completely tented and cooled by water misters and shaded seating will be available.

The 2014 Un-Sung Hero Award presentation will follow the Block Party events at 2:45.  The Award was established in 2009 in recognition of individuals and organizations that responded to and cared for the victims of the wave of arsons that struck the City of Coatesville.

Like those first awards, the goal is to acknowledge members of our Coatesville community for their tireless efforts to encourage, empower and enhance the health and well-being of fellow residents.  This year’s Award honors the life work of Ms. Lindsay Brinton for her nurturing leadership in founding Art Partners Studio in Coatesville:  Enhancing Health through the Creative Arts.  PLEASE join us at 2:45 as we celebrate our 2014 Un-Sung Hero: Ms. Lindsay Brinton, Founder and former Executive Director, Art Partners studio.
