DCCC opens registration for spring classes

Registration is now open for spring 15-week and 7-week classes, and Delaware County Community College is ready to assist students in registering, either virtually or in-person. Because of COVID-19 safety precautions, the College will offer most of its spring classes via synchronous, asynchronous or hybrid methods, with a limited number of in-person classes for specific majors, such as nursing, to meet professional certification requirements.

The College is pleased to offer more face-to-face, real-time online (synchronous) classes this spring, while also offering self-paced online (asynchronous) and hybrid classes. The College is ready to help students who are unsure about their college plans this spring. Students can earn transferable credits from the safety of their homes and can receive a quality, affordable learning experience.

Virtual Registration

The College offers Virtual Registration Days every Wednesday and on select Saturdays (November 7, December 5 & 12, January 9) that enable prospective students to apply, take a placement test, participate in an online mandatory New Student Orientation, register and meet with an advisor, all in a single online or phone visit. Prospective students are encouraged to apply online and complete an online orientation prior to calling in for Virtual Registration because they need to have completed New Student Orientation prior to their advising session. In addition, the College’s Registration Rush Week is from November 2 – 6.

To participate in a Virtual Registration Day, including Registration Rush Week, call 610-723-2000 or email registernow@dccc.edu. For more information and to view a virtual registration checklist, visit dccc.edu/virtual-registration. Current students can also meet with an advisor on Virtual Registration Days or by making an appointment with the Career & Counseling Center.

Limited In-Person Services

Although some of the College’s physical locations are open with limited services, it is recommended that students take advantage of the virtual enrollment services. If students opt to visit a College location in person, a face covering, social distancing and an on-site health screening are required.

The following services are available in-person on a limited basis: applying, advising, financial aid and payment. Placement testing is available remotely on a rolling basis, as well as limited in-person placement testing (with live or virtual proctors) at select locations. Students who plan to visit in-person should call 610-723-2000 to ensure the services needed are offered at the location, date and time of your planned visit.
