Judy Chicago is one of the artists who will be featured at the Brooklyn Art Museum for the CCAA bus trip to New York.

The Chester County Art Association (CCAA) is hosting an all-day chartered bus trip to the Brooklyn Art Museum on Thursday, May 15. Artists on display include 1970’s feminist artist Judy Chicago and Chinese contemporary artist Ai Weiwei.

Judy Chicago’s exhibition “Chicago in L.A.” surveys her less-familiar but significant early work produced when she lived in Los Angeles and was a participant in the Finish Fetish School. Her work responds to the industrialization of the West Coast with its own brightly colored, high-gloss form of minimalism, a CCAA news release said.

Ai Weiwei is one of China’s most prolific and provocative contemporary artists. Born in 1957, Weiwei, who is also known for his criticism of China’s stance on human rights, has worked in sculpture, installation, architecture, curating, photography, film, and social, political and cultural criticism. His exhibition features over 30 of his works spanning more than 20 years.

The bus transportation fee of $46 is payable to CCAA. Museum tickets cost $13.50 for adult groups and $9.00 for students and seniors. To register, visit CCAA’s website at www.chestercountyarts.org.
