Cara DeStefano
DOWNINGTOWN — East Ward Borough Council member Cara DeStefano informed her colleagues Tuesday that she will resign from council, multiple sources confirmed.
Although no specific reason was identified, sources suggested that she wanted to focus more time on other parts of her life. DeStefano could not be reached for comment.
She is expected to formally resign at the Borough Council meeting on April 2. The Council will then have 30 days to name her replacement who must come from the East Ward.
