Mattioni leads West past Haverford, 41-3

DOWNINGTOWN — Downingtown West rode an explosive offense to earn a 41-3 win over visiting Haverford, Friday night, in the season opener for both teams. Senior quarterback Thomas Mattioni passed for 266 yards and four TD in leading the Whippets, as they ran away from the Fords, posting 20 points in the opening quarter and 41 by halftime.
