The company recently presented the check to United Way staff.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Citadel\u2019s annual event brings employees and their families together for golf and barbecue while raising funds to support the United Way. The goal of the fundraiser is to encourage employees to socialize and contribute to an important community cause.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">\u201cWe\u2019re very grateful for the support of Citadel employees from this event,\u201d said Claudia Hellebush, President &amp; CEO, United Way of Chester County. \u201cIt\u2019s wonderful to see an organization combine an annual social outing with a community fundraiser.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">As a community-based financial institution, Citadel encourages employees to give their time and talent to assist corporate partner organizations or non-profits of personal choice. Through Citadel\u2019s volunteer program, employees volunteer hundreds of hours to community organizations.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cCitadel employees believe in the value of giving back to the community,\u201d said Jim McCrudden, Vice President, Citadel. \u201cWhen an event benefits an organization like the United Way, more staff attend. As an organization, we are inspired to lend support.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p9\">The United Way of Chester County unites people and mobilizes resources to build better lives and stronger communities.
