Martinez said the crash occurred about 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 13, in the area of West Kings Highway and Ash Road. He said the buggy was traveling eastbound, and the truck westbound on the highway when the truck\u2019s driver lost control and slid into the oncoming vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>Upon arrival, officers found the buggy\u2019s driver, its only occupant, with minor injuries and the horse dead.\u00a0 The buggy\u2019s driver declined any medical treatment, Martinez said, describing him as \u201cbanged up a little\u201d and quite distraught over the loss of the horse.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The driver of the white four-door Toyota truck, possibly a Tundra, exited his vehicle to check the scene, then returned to his truck and drove south on Ash Road toward Airport Road without rendering any assistance, Martinez said. \u201cObviously he knew what he did and showed a complete disregard for everyone\u2019s safety,\u201d the chief said. \u201cHe wanted to leave before police arrived.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Martinez said the truck may have had a blue stripe on the tailgate and should have damage on the driver\u2019s side. The truck\u2019s driver was described as a white male approximately 5-foot-9 and 190 pounds.<\/p>\n<p>The crash remains under investigation by the West Caln Township Police Department.
