Hats-off to the 90+ people, who braved some serious elements and raised more than $1,500 for Hillendale PTO\u2019s community outreach projects last weekend.\u00a0 A shout-out to all the teachers and parents who assisted in the wee hours with early morning prep, rocked the DJ booth, provide water and helped keep everybody <i>hustling!<\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial;\">Kevin M. The conference will also include a social business pitch competition with a $500 prize and interactive skill-building activities. Admission ($20) for the conference is open to all high school girls. You can register at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.genheration.com\/\">www.genheration.com<\/a>\u00a0or e-mail\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:info@genheration.com\">info@genheration.com<\/a>\u00a0with any questions.<\/p>\n<p><b>SPLISH, SPLASH, <i>NOSH!<\/i>\u00a0 <\/b>This<b> Friday, November 7<sup>th<\/sup>, from 6-8 PM <\/b>at the<b> Kennett Area Y\u2019s <i>TGIF<\/i> event. <\/b>The Y will have its <b>brand-new inflatable water volleyball game set-up<\/b> and a <b>local food truck<\/b> will be on hand to provide convenient, grab \u2018n go food for a small fee.\u00a0 East, family-friendly FUN!<b><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Over 1,600 runners are expected to participate in the bi-annual <strong>Girls on the Run<\/strong> (GOTR) and <strong>YMCA STRIDE<\/strong> for Boys 5K Challenge on Saturday, November 22 at 9:00 a.m. at Downingtown West High School.\u00a0Each spring and fall, hundreds of girls who participate in the GOTR and Girls on Track after school programs celebrate the conclusion of their self-esteem and confidence-building programs with a 5K run. This fall, over 500 girls will take part in the 5K. As in previous years, participants in the STRIDE for Boys program will also participate.
