Knauer Performing Arts Center.<\/div>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u00a0\u201cI think we were the first rock band to play there back in 2017,\u201d said\u00a0Maresca, during a phone interview from his home in Wynnewood.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The band\u2019s members have changed some over the years \u2013 which is not a surprise to\u00a0Maresca.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u201cAs time goes by, familiarity breeds contempt,\u201d said\u00a0Maresca. \u201cThere is a lot of ego and narcissism among musicians \u2013 a lot of personality conflicts.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u201cI don\u2019t run LATF as a democracy. It\u2019s more like a monarchy and I\u2019m the king. It\u2019s my band and I maintain very high standards. Anyone who has heard the band play in the last year says that this is the best lineup ever.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u201cI brought Joe Mass in as the Dickey Betts guitarist and he\u2019s taking it to microscopic levels of exactness. The band also has Don McCormick and Anthony Zinni on drums, Jeff Quattro on Hammond B3, piano, and vocals and Mike Graziola on bass.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Musically and sonically, LATF creates the experience of hearing one of the greatest live bands of all time as they sounded in 1969-1971. Particularly featured are their monumental shows at Bill Graham\u2019s\u00a0Fillmore\u00a0East Auditorium in New York City in March and June of 1971.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>LIVE AT THE FILLMORE\u00a0has become the most popular and best-known tribute to the original Allman Brothers Band. Great attention is paid to recreating the music with an unparalleled degree of authenticity. The band has been chosen as featured performer on the Time Life Southern Rock Cruise. It received rave reviews for their Spring 2017 performance on national TV as part of AXS TV\u2019s \u201cWorld\u2019s Greatest Tribute Bands.\u201d<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u201cLive at the\u00a0Fillmore\u00a0has been around for more than a decade,\u201d said\u00a0Maresca. \u201cWe started back in 2009 because we knew how many Allman Brothers fans there were.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u201cI saw the Allman Brothers in their original state many, many times including the\u00a0Fillmore\u00a0in March 1971 and the very last show they did at the\u00a0Fillmore\u00a0on Saturday night June 26, 1971. That was the one the Allman Brothers called \u2018The Show.\u2019<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u201cI put a band together in 1971 called Skydog. I was in high school at the time. Skydog was the very first Allman Brothers tribute band. I went to Penn State and played all through college.\u201d<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Years went by and\u00a0Maresca\u00a0relocated to Philadelphia where he established a career in audio production and custom messaging.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u201cI\u2019ve been in Philly since I graduated from Penn State,\u201d said\u00a0Maresca, who originally is from Nutley, New Jersey. \u201cI wanted to put together another Allman Brother attribute band. I was looking for the best guys I could find who could play the music.\u201d<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>With LIVE AT THE FILLMORE, fans get Allman Brothers music and nothing else.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u201cWe\u2019re a tribute band at the highest level,\u201d said\u00a0Maresca. \u201cThe hallmark of this band is its authenticity. We\u2019re here to imitate not to innovate. Our physical appearance has never been important. It\u2019s all about the music. Click or tap to follow the link.\" href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/vn0nr2WoWmc\">https:\/\/youtu.be\/vn0nr2WoWmc<\/a>.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The show at Sellersville on July 5 will start at 8 p.m.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Ticket prices start at $29.50.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-19680\" src=\"https:\/\/downingtowntimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/adee9db05ad765ad9ac4d4632c885e2d-350x233.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"350\" height=\"233\" \/>AM Radio Tribute Band, which is the brainchild of\u00a0Su\u00a0Teears\u00a0and Kevin Burk is exactly what its name implies.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u201cWe play songs mostly from the \u201960\u2019s, some from the \u201970\u2019s, some older stuff like the Ronettes,\u201d said\u00a0Teears, during a phone interview from her home in King of Prussia. \u201cWe also do some stuff from the \u201950\u2019s like Bill Haley &amp; the Comets and Elvis.\u201d<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>AM Radio also has another format \u2013 the AM Radio Acoustic Trio.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>On August 29, AM Radio Acoustic Trio share the bill with Peter Noone (Herman\u2019s Hermits) at a pair of shows at the Sellersville Theater.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>AM Radio Acoustic Trio will open the show with 1960\u2019s acoustic music, complimented by intricate 3-part vocal harmonies. This is a bit different from the band\u2019s norm.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Burk, who is a native of King of Prussia and an Upper Merion High grad, said, \u201cWe\u2019re normally a six-piece band and sometimes for bigger shows we\u2019re a seven-piece with an added guitar. There are also times when we add a horn section and play as a 10-piece.\u201d<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>AM Radio Tribute Band got its start exactly six years ago.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u201cKevin and I were on a road trip to upstate New York,\u201d said\u00a0Teears. \u201cAs we travelled north, we listened to the radio until we lost our favorite station.\u201d<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Losing reception of AM radio stations is a common thing.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>AM broadcasting\u00a0is a\u00a0radio broadcasting\u00a0technology which employs amplitude modulation\u00a0(AM) transmissions \u2013 unlike FM which uses frequency modulation.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>AM radio, which is also known as medium wave, covers frequencies from 525-1704 kHz (kilohertz). In the United States, there are clear channel stations which can operate at 50,000 watts 24 hours a day, regional stations which have restrictions on their broadcasting power and local daytime stations with low wattage allowance and limited range.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>If you\u2019re driving in Pennsylvania or New York, you can hear powerful clear channel stations from all over the eastern part of the country \u2013 stations\u00a0such as WSM in Nashville, WABC in New York, WCKY in Cincinnati, WGN in Chicago, WSB in Atlanta, WBZ in Boston and WOWO in Fort Wayne.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Listening to regional stations is more difficult. These stations are limited in power and often have directional broadcasting. So, if you exceed your favorite station\u2019s range as you travel, the station fades out and is often replaced by a different regional station.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u201cWhen we lost the station we were listening to, we found a station playing all the hits we grew up with,\u201d said\u00a0Teears. \u201cWe toyed with the idea of playing these songs. We started playing them while trying to do things a little left of center.\u201d<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Soon,\u00a0Teears\u00a0and Burk were assembling a band \u2013 a band that became AM Tribute Radio.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The lineup of AM Tribute Radio\u2019s full band features drummer Jimmy Cavanaugh from Norristown, guitarist Danny Eyer (Absecon, N.J.), Bill Sharrow (Collingdale\/Spring Mount) vocalist\/guitarist Joe Triglia (Lansdale), keyboardist Steve Sauer (Lancaster),\u00a0Teears\u00a0(Northeast Philadelphia) and Burk.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u201cOur first gig was December 2014 at the Bridgeport Ribhouse and we\u2019ve had a stable lineup since then,\u201d said Burk. \u201cOur repertoire now is well over 500 tunes. There is so much to pick from.\u201d<\/div>\n<div>Teears\u00a0said, \u201cThis is the music we grew up with. We\u2019re purists. The band plays in Lancaster on July 5 and has a concert in Sellersville on July 7.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Back in the day, \u201cserious rock music fans\u201d wrote off Abba and The Carpenters as lightweights.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Many of those fans \u2013 along with most fans of popular music \u2013 now agree that both bands were great pop bands.<\/div>\n<div>Both acts wrote well-crafted songs and performed them at a very high level. Two fine examples are \u201cWaterloo\u201d and \u201cGoodbye to Love.\u201d<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Top Of The World \u2013 A Carpenters Tribute\u00a0is one of the world\u2019s best tribute band to The Carpenters.<\/div>\n<div>Fronted by singer Debbie Taylor, her Karen Carpenter vocal resemblance is absolutely astonishing. She is backed by a seven-piece band consisting of top-notch, professional industry musicians who have had amazing careers in their own right.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The band members are all multi-instrumentalists and at times use three keyboards to recreate the incredibly complex arrangements created by Richard Carpenter. The attention to detail paired with saxophone, trumpet, flute and many more instruments complete every song to perfection!<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>This Carpenters Tribute Band brings the most authentic versions of the Carpenters music to the stage. Fans will definitely be singing along as the band performs hits such as \u201cClose To You,\u201d \u201cWe\u2019ve Only Just Begun,\u201d \u201cRainy Days And Mondays,\u201d \u201cPlease Mr. Postman\u201d and \u201cYesterday Once More.\u201d<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Taylor captures the warm tones and contralto range that made Karen\u2019s voice so unique. Knauer Performing Arts Center (226 North High Street, West Chester, <a id=\"OWA4b972df7-a8c6-a359-1d56-ed86c07bc660\" class=\"OWAAutoLink\" href=\"http:\/\/www.uptownwestchester.org\/\">www.uptownwestchester.org<\/a>) will host the Bell Bottom Blues on July 5 \u2013 one of six tribute shows this month at the theater in downtown West Chester.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The Bell Bottom Blues is a professional tribute to one of the greatest guitar players and rock icons of our time, Eric Clapton. Click or tap to follow the link.\" href=\"http:\/\/www.jameyshouseofmusic.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.jameyshouseofmusic.com<\/a>) will host Drivetime on July 5.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Soaring high for more than 10 years, is HMMA-nominated and international recording artist, Drivetime &#8212; a band which has become known for its original jazz sound.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Featuring Bernie Capodici (Congas\/Percussion\/Producer), Jimmy Dell\u2019Orefice (Keys), Gene Terramani (Guitar), Nick Terramani (Bass), JJ Zeller (Drums), Drivetime has continued to push their eccentric sound of urban organic jazz.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Drivetime\u2019s music has been in rotation on the internet and terrestrial radio since their debut single \u201cGetin\u2019 Witit 2009\u201d featuring Bob Baldwin.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The band has done collaborations with jazz artists including Phyllis Chapel, Justin Guarini, and many others.<\/div>\n<div>The show at Jamey\u2019s House of Music will start at 8 p.m.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. It will also be available as a pay-per-view at $15.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>On July 6, live entertainment will be provided by Carroll, Smucker and Lloyd.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The line-up features Bruce T Carroll, Lancaster-based Jessica Smucker and Heather Aubrey Lloyd.<\/div>\n<div>The show at Jamey\u2019s House of Music will start at 8 p.m.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. It will also be available as a pay-per-view at $15.<\/div>\n<div>E<\/div>\n<div>very Sunday, Jamey\u2019s presents \u201cSUNDAY BLUES BRUNCH &amp; JAM\u201d featuring the Philly Blues Kings.
